It is amazing how shoveling snow get's harder and harder each year. I'm sure that it's because of our bodies getting more and more out of shape :)
Well we have decided that we will spend a better part of our "garage sailing" this year, hunting for a used snow blower. I guess reaching 35 is a good time to invest in your "back" LOL. At least this is seeming to be the best decision for my husband. Personally I agree as I would rather have a happy agile hubby - opposed to a grumpy cripple!
I'm getting set for quite a few more weeks of this white stuff. I can not wait to be able to spend more time outside with my camera. Finding all the signs of spring will be so much fun. I look forward to the warmer weather........ God bring it soon please *wink wink nudge nudge*

A little bit "old fashioned" can be a very..... good thing
I just can not get used to the attitude so many people have towards marriage these days. While out at the spa with friends this week, a woman says "it would be so much easier if anytime in the first five years of a marriage you could just OPT out if you wanted to -- without having to deal with the legal side of divorce. Just say goodbye and on your way you go! That would be Awesome"Who's says this stuff - let alone thinks it would be a great thing to add into the marriage vows?
It's so sad, that marriage is just not important anymore. That it is not respected - nor cherished.
I love my husband, I can not say this enough or TOO LOUDLY lol. He's my best friend in the whole world. Everything that is "me" is lacking without him there to be a part of it.
I take my marriage very seriously. I wish other people would too. It is crazy that "we" are not the norm in society. I'm not saying that every marriage should work out, or that someone should stay in a violent situation.
What I am saying is this..... That for all you perspective brides and grooms, please please please realize that when you enter a marriage the only power you have is over yourself! You will never change each other! You can only strive to be the best person you can be and hope that through whatever changes you make in your lifestyle, mind. beliefs, heart, actions, reactions, you name it ------ that your other half will be inspired by your show of change and growth to in turn change themselves for the better.
The last thing that I will say is - "communication" is the utmost important survival key in a marriage. USE IT! And if your not a great communicator - then learn or you'll wake up one morning wondering why you are alone.

Abigail ~ my beautiful niece
This little munchkin refused to sleep for us the other day. She stayed up for almost 6 hours LOL -- I'm going to chalk that up to the fact that we set up a whole photo shoot just to capture that Ann Geddes style baby photo's. That's ok she has a patient auntie... I'll try again she has to sleep sometime ;)
This was the best we could do - notice the soother, only got tears without it LOL

And it begins!
Well here it is, my first blog. It's amazing to me the things available out there for people in this day and age. I wonder what my life would be like had I been exposed to the internet and all it's glory as a teenager. Children have so much in reach for them ~ all at the click of a mouse. I think that this blog would have happened much earlier in my life had I been blessed with the access and ease of the world wide web.
Well enough of the would have, should have, could have. I am here now and I am going to love sharing my life with anyone who cares to read it! I'll try to be amusing, try to bring to you that silly girl next door that my husband fell in love with :)
And with that ..................... Let the adventure begin!
